Christmas is approaching, and although Santa has a great beard, and the season is filled with sweaters, fairy lights, locally sourced produce, and possibly some gingerbread moustache cookies, DesignCrowd just didn't think there was enough 'hipster' at Christmas time.
We launched a design contest for our army of over 400,000 designers, to create hipster versions of Christmas characters - https://www.designcrowd.co.uk/special/christmas-hipster-makeover. The most popular characters who received the hipster treatment included Santa Claus - a particularly striking version of Santa in head to toe Marsala, Pantone's 2015 Color of the Year impressed - and his funky reindeer on fixies (fixed gear bicycles). The Three Wise Men and the Christmas Grinch were also madeover with tattoos, vintage cameras and spectacles and rolled up pants.
Over 60 designs, ranging from photoshop graphics to illustration art were submitted to the contest, which made judging tough! Without further ado, here are some of the best submissions:
Ginger Breadman
The Chrismas Grinch
Mrs Grinch
