Simple, friendly, quiet.
Describe your design style in 140 characters or less.
My design style is mostly based on simplicity and with practical application in mind (in my opinion, this is a must for stationery design).

How much training/experience do you have in Graphic Design?
I had some Adobe suite courses, but I’m mostly self-taught. I’ve been in this for over 5 years now.
What type of design is your specialty? Explain your specialty in your own words.
I started out on DesignCrowd with logo design but I would say that stationery design (business cards and corporate identity) is my true speciality. I still keep myself busy with logo design, as well as with brochure and flyer design.

Brief: A new online living community
needed a logo that portrayed inspiration and support.

Briefly describe your design process.
Well, it depends. When it comes to logo design, I mostly start with pencil drawings, then I move to vector drawing programs.
Regarding stationery design, vector drawing programs are the starting point in 99% of cases.
What does your workspace consist of?
I work on a desktop PC. I try to keep the desk I work on clean and uncluttered (maybe even too clean).
What makes my workspace unique? I guess it would be over a decade old, “white”, Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical. I just don’t have the heart to ditch it.

What/Who are the major influences on your style?
I know this might have more to do with architecture, but I might say that Bauhaus and German modernism could be something that influenced my style.
Where do you draw your daily inspiration?
I draw my inspiration from everything. Always trying to keep my mind open.

Brief: An organic cosmetic company required
a simple and pure brand look update.

What hobbies do you do outside of design?
At the moment, designing is my life. There’s not much (well payed) work available in Croatia these days, so I turned myself completely to freelance designing. I do find some free time to enjoy a long walk, or bicycling with my husband. I also enjoy dancing and reading (classic literature – Leo Tolstoy, Fyodor Dostoyevsky…).
Why do you prefer DesignCrowd to find design jobs?
Firstly, DesignCrowd has a blind contest “out of the box” concept. Other sites offer it only as an option and it’s rarely used there, which leads to lots of copying from other designers and finally, to a frustration. And second, it’s that “participation payment” concept. Unique and pretty motivational little thing if you ask me.

Brief: FlyCam requested a new logo - modern,
original, abstract, and serious.
